The MTV Video Music Awards went down last night! Madonna made a major comeback, opening with her first performance at the show in 23 years and setting a new record as the ceremony’s five-time opening act. Her performance turned into a star-studded party, with Sabrina Carpenter joining her for “Bring Your Love” and Charli XCX popping up for a performance of the “Danceteria” remix.
Snoop Dogg took over hosting duties, bringing his personality to the VMAs as the ceremony returned to the West Coast for the first time since 2017.
The show leaned heavily into music history, with Kacey Musgraves paying tribute to Dolly Parton and RAYE, SOMBR and Teddy Swims teaming up for a George Michael tribute.
