1. Yesterday a woman crashed her car into the AAA building on Marginal Way in Portland. The driver was not injured and, at this time, crews are working to determine if the building is structurally safe. Man in the AAA office at the time of the crash is also uninjured.

2. Gunshots at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego yesterday were ruled a false alarm. Military police checked the building after a person reported hearing three shots in the basement earlier in the day, but they found no sign of a gunman or a shooting.

3. Donald Trump announced he will skip tomorrow’s GOP debate on FOX News because of his feud with the network. Trump made the decision final after a network spokesman mocked his threats to boycott and explained that he didn’t believe anchor and moderator Megyn Kelly would treat him fairly.

4. Governor Paul LePage says Maine is too easy on drug crimes, suggesting we should bring back the death penalty, specifically the guillotine, for serious offenders. In an interview, he said, “What I think we ought to do is bring the guillotine back. We could have public executions and have, you know, we could even have which hole it falls in.”

5. A 14-year-old is recovering in a Washington hospital after he suffered serious injuries while playing the popular “duct tape challenge.” The “challenge” consists of one person wrapping another in duct tape and filming them trying to escape. People usually tape one another to a chair, or sometimes to other people, in the videos. But the challenge went terribly wrong for 14-year-old Skylar Fish after he suffered a serious head injury playing the game. Though he is recovering, he may not gain vision in his eye.
