1. Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump delivered a fiery speech on immigration in Arizona last night, shortly after his meeting with Mexico’s President Enrique Peña Nieto. Trump stated, “We will build a great wall along the southern border. And Mexico will pay for the wall.” Interestingly, Peña Nieto claims he never said such a thing. “At the beginning of the conversation with Donald Trump I made it clear that Mexico will not pay for the wall,” he tweeted following Trump’s speech. 2. Gov. Paul LePage personally apologized to Democratic Rep. Drew Gattine on Wednesday for leaving a threatening and obscene voice mail on the lawmaker’s phone last week, but the governor said he will not resign and is ready to move on from the controversy. (PH)
