This Saturday, don’t miss your chance to join Hayley and Mijo at one of the hottest hip hop events in Maine! The Exchange is a family friendly event, where studio and street dancers meet! It was created to provide an authentic and positive hip hop experience for studio dancers, exposing them to the 4 elements of hip hop: DJ, emcee, graffiti and breaking. The Exchange will feature 1-on-1 all styles battles, as well as 2-on-2 breaking battles. You can enter the battles for your chance to win cash prizes, or you can come and watch some incredible talent.
Right before the event begins, be sure go to the master class with Devin Woolridge from 12-1! Devin is an American Best Dance Crew alum and danced & choreographed for the latest Ghostbusters movie. The class is $12 and is a can’t miss opportunity to get your groove on.
The Exchange is a fundraiser event and all proceeds benefit Portland Youth Dance’s scholarship & outreach programs, as well as Hip Hop for Hope, a charity that supports the fight against Sanfillipo syndrome.
