(News) Merriam-Webster Adds Eminem’s Definition of “Stan”

The Merriam-Webster dictionary added 640 new words this week, including swole, bug-out bag, go-cup, EGOT, and bottle episode. Eminem’s definition of “stan” from his 2000 single of the same name also made the cut. It’s in there as a noun (“an extremely or excessively enthusiastic and devoted fan”) and a verb (“to be an extremely devoted and enthusiastic fan of someone or something”).
