J. Cole was the big winner of the evening at the BET Hip Hop Awards 2019. The rapper took home three awards, including Lyricist of the Year, Best Featured Verse for “A Lot” and Impact Track for “Middle Child”.
Other big winners included DaBaby being named Best New Artist and Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” remix winning Single of the Year. Lil Kim also received the “I Am Hip-Hop” award, which she accepted with a heartfelt speech.
