Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll says he regrets not signing Colin Kaepernick in 2017. He also said someone’s called him about the quarterback. “I regret that we weren’t the one way back when,” he said. “I held him in such a high regard I didn’t see him as a backup quarterback,” he continued, saying the fit wasn’t right. “I figured he was going to wind up starting somewhere for sure.. the guy deserved to play,” Carroll said. He said that he’d just gotten a call Thursday about Kaepernick. “I got a phone call today asking inquiring about the situation, so I know somebody is interested,” Carroll said.
