2. The U.S. tops 2.8 million coronavirus cases with nearly 130,000 deaths. The Maine CDC on Sunday reported two deaths and 18 cases for a total of four deaths over the Independence Day weekend. Statewide 109 people have died. As of Sunday 534 cases are active in Maine. (PRESS HERALD)
3. President Trump will hold an outdoor rally at the Portsmouth International on Saturday. The New Hampshire Democratic Party slammed Trump for his response to the pandemic, saying, “Instead of helping our state safely recover, Trump is flying in for a political rally that will only further highlight the chaos he has caused.” (NEWS CENTER)
4. To avoid unauthorized parties, Airbnb will stop guests younger than 24 with less than three positive reviews to book entire houses close to their residence. This policy is more of a priority now because of the coronavirus, the company said in a letter to hosts. (AP)
5. Joey Chestnut and Miki Sudo won Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest men’s and women’s titles on Saturday. Chestnut set a new world record eating 75 hot dogs in buns in 10 minutes. Sudo also set a new world record to win her seventh title. She ate 48.5 dogs in buns in 10 minutes. (UPI)
