2. The number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 in Maine remains at or near historic highs. On Sunday the Maine CDC reported 384 people hospitalized. Of those, 133 were in critical care – an all-time high – and 63 were on ventilators. (PRESS HERALD)
3. Canada announced it is reinstating its COVID-19 testing requirement for trips less than 72 hours starting Tuesday. All travelers will need a negative PCR test to re-enter. The test must be taken in a country other than Canada. (BANGOR DAILY NEWS)
4. Maine’s secretary of state is warning residents of a scammer who is falsely claiming to represent the state’s Bureau of Motor Vehicles. The scammer is sending text messages claiming to be the “Maine DMV.” The text messages ask the recipient to click on a link to get a refund check. (NEWS CENTER)
