1. An inferno engulfed a 19-story apartment building in the Bronx on Sunday, leaving 19 people dead so far… including a reported 9 children. It was reported the children killed were 16 years old or younger. The fire was caused by a malfunctioning space heater.
2. Bob Saget passed away Sunday at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando at the age of 65. Saget is most famous for his starring role as beloved father Danny Tanner in Full House He also hosted America’s Funniest Home Videos from 1989 to 1997. A cause of death has not been announced, but foul play or drug use is not immediately suspected. John Stamos tweeted, “I am broken. I am gutted. I am in complete and utter shock. I will never ever have another friend like him. I love you so much Bobby.”
3.The number of people hospitalized statewide with COVID-19 dipped slightly Sunday. Schools are still struggling to keep classes open. Brunswick High School announced it will be closed today and remote Tuesday through Friday.
4. A wrong-way driver is charged with operating under the influence after causing multiple crashes on I-95 in Maine. Charity Reynolds was traveling north in the southbound lane in Wells before striking a BMW head-on.
5. The Patriots finished the regular season as the sixth seed in the AFC and will travel to Buffalo to face the Bills on Saturday night at 8:15 p.m for the NFL’s Super Wild Card Weekend.
