1. The committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol voted unanimously Monday to hold former Trump advisers Peter Navarro and Dan Scavino in contempt of Congress for their refusal to comply with subpoenas.
2. COVID-19 hospitalizations in Maine increased slightly Monday and the number has held steady for the past nine days after dropping for several weeks. There were 96 hospitalized patients on Monday.
3. Governor Janet Mills has donated political contributions from Eliot Cutler, who is now facing child pornography charges, to the Maine Coalition Against Sexual Assault. Rep. Jared Golden and Senator Angus King also plan on donating contributions from Cutler.
4. The Belfast community is rallying to help the people who worked at the Penobscot McCrum’s potato processing plant which was destroyed by a fire. City officials decided to use nearly $14,000 from their “Keep The Faith Fund” and since then, people have donated more than $28,000 to the fund to help the workers.
