- Georgia Incumbent Democrat Senator Raphael Warnock will face Republican challenger Herschel Walker in a runoff election on December 6th.Neither candidate reached a 50 percent threshold in the state. The winner of the contest might decide control of the Senate for the next two years. (CNBC)
- The Congressional District 2 race Democrat Jared Golden and Republican Bruce Poliquin will head to ranked-choice tabulation. The tabulation will begin on Nov. 15 and is open to the public. (WMTW)
- Deer collisions are up so far this year. AAA says dawn and dusk are the most common times for these types of crashes. MaineDOT says there were over 6,000 deer vs. car crashes in 2021. More than 1,300 happened in November alone. The November spike is due in part to breeding season and deer being more active. The collisions are keeping Maine auto body shops busy. (WGME)
- Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, is set to lay off 11,000 workers. Mark Zuckerberg told employees by way of a blog post. The cuts come as Meta’s market value has dropped drastically. The company was valued at $1 trillion last year. Today, Meta is valued at $250 billion. (CNN)
