1. Gov. Mills unveiled a series of measures on Tuesday to expand abortion access in Maine, including a bill that would make abortion legally accessible at any time during pregnancy with the approval of a qualified medical professional. The legislation is inspired by the story of Dana Peirce of Yarmouth, who had to travel to Colorado to get an abortion after an ultrasound at 32 weeks found a rare and painful genetic mutation in the fetus that would lead to death in the womb or shortly after birth. 2. Greta Thunberg was released by German police on Tuesday evening after being detained earlier in the day at a protest over the expansion of a coal mine. Thunberg today tweeted: “Climate protection is not a crime.” (CNN)

3. Police in Biddeford are cracking down on those violating the state’s “hands-free” driving law.  The department will have a spotter at a busy intersection looking for violators. That spotter then notifies other cruisers to conduct the traffic stop. (WGME)

4. A ban on the sale of flavored tobacco products in South Portland is set to go into effect April 1. A citizen petition to block the ban failed to get enough verified signatures. The delay in the ban is intended to allow businesses to sell existing product. (WMTW)

5. Acadia National Park had its second biggest year ever in 2022 with 3.97 million visitors. In a post-pandemic surge more than 4 million people visited in 2021. (WGME)
