1. A team of researchers have successfully created a synthetic human embryo from stem cells. No egg and sperm were required to create the structure. The embryo is at the earliest stages of fetal development and does not have organs, the researchers say. These experiments could provide new information on genetic diseases and miscarriages. (JN)

2. Virgin Galactic said Thursday that the first ever commercial space flight will take off on June 27, marking the official start of its space tourism business. According to the company’s site, a Virgin Galactic spaceflight costs a total of $450,000 per person. (JN)

3. Live Nation and Ticketmaster have pledged to eliminate hidden fees on concert tickets after pressure from Biden to offer “clear and total” prices on concert tickets. The White House has been working to end “hidden” and “junk” fees that a variety of companies tack on, from ticket providers to banks to cable companies. (LW)

4. Maine legislature approved a bill to raise Maine’s minimum wage from $13.80 to $15 per hour.  Gov Mills has not committed to vetoing the bill, but a spokesperson said Mills would prefer Maine continue to follow the current path. (WMTW)

5. Fathers Day Weekend! Sunday is Father’s Day – Spoil your dad or father figure in your life.
