1. Synagogues in South Portland, Bath, and Augusta received hoax bomb threats on Sunday. Other synagogues in Massachusetts and across the nation also received similar threats. The emails came from a server that hides the senders info. Police are investigating. (PH)

2. The IRS released a statement Friday assuring Mainers that they would not be taxed for the Winter Energy Relief payments from earlier this year. Earlier last week, Maine Revenue Services reported that the IRS verbally told them that the relief payments were going to be taxed. (WGME)

3. Biddeford’s Five Points Shopping Center will become a 140,000 square foot entertainment complex called Play 5. With an expected spring opening, it will include indoor pickleball and golf, with the possibility of a bowling alley, arcade, laser tag and a ropes course. (PH)

4. Hundreds gathered along the piers of the Old Port to watch the Portland Parade of Lights on Saturday. Lobster, ferry and tugboats decorated in a display of lights that can be seen from Portland and South Portland. The festivities ended with the annual fireworks display. (WGME)
