Usher is generating excitement among fans for his upcoming Super Bowl halftime performance. A trailer was released on Friday for the Apple Music Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show, where the Grammy-winning singer is set to lead the show on Feb. 11 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The trailer, set to his 2004 hit “Yeah!,” skillfully combines footage spanning over three decades of Usher, his devoted fans, and well-known figures such as LeBron James, J Balvin, and Jung Kook.
The film declares, “One performance, 30 years in the making.” Usher had announced in September that he would headline the Super Bowl halftime show, sharing a video of him receiving the news from Kim Kardashian in a phone call.
Expressing his gratitude, Usher stated, “It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list. I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before. Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen. I’ll see you real soon.” The performance will follow the release of Usher’s highly anticipated ninth studio album, “Coming Home.”
Fans can anticipate a mix of Usher’s new songs and some of his biggest hits from his extensive collection of R&B, club ballads, and global hits during the Super Bowl show. This marks Usher’s second Super Bowl appearance; in 2011, he performed alongside the Black Eyed Peas during their headlining event.
Super Bowl LVIII is scheduled to air live on CBS.
