Eminem has reignited his longstanding feud with media Benzino, referencing Benzino’s daughter, Coi Leray, in the process. Eminem’s latest appearance on Lyrical Lemonade’s All Is Yellow compilation album features a track titled “Doomsday Pt. 2,” where he doesn’t shy away from calling out the former co-owner of The Source and making it clear that he won’t tolerate Benzino’s remarks any longer. This ongoing feud dates back to the early 2000s and flared up again in 2022 when Eminem was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. “Doomsday Pt. 2” serves as a sequel to Cole Bennett’s “Doomsday,” featuring Juice WRLD and Cordae. While the former song had Juice and Cordae rapping over Eminem’s “Role Model” beat, the latter samples the same track but with slowed tempo.
Coi Leray, Benzino’s daughter, responded to Eminem’s verse on Twitter, expressing her weariness with rap beef and labeling it as outdated and embarrassing. In 2022, Coi Leray had previously shown appreciation for Eminem upon his Hall of Fame induction. Despite her positive stance, Benzino strongly disagreed with his daughter’s sentiments, suggesting her disloyalty due to her comments.
Benzino later recounted blocking Eminem from receiving a five-mic rating at The Source. The feud between the two artists dates back to 2002 when Benzino accused Eminem of appropriating hip-hop culture, leading to a series of diss tracks exchanged between them. Eminem responded with songs like “Nail in the Coffin” and “The Sauce” in reply to Benzino’s “Pull Up Your Skirt” and “Die Another Day.”
