1. Maine ranked #28 in this year’s U.S. News & World Report annual list of best states. Maine is ranked last among New England states. New Hampshire claimed this year’s #2 spot and is only behind Utah. 2. Portland district leaders have renewed talks to consolidate its three high schools – Casco Bay, Deering and Portland – into one campus serving around 2,200 students. They think consolidating the schools would help them provide high quality education and facilities. The plan is in the concept phase. (PH)

3. TikTok will start labeling content using AI. On Thursday, TikTok issued a statement: “AI enables incredible creative opportunities but can confuse or mislead viewers if they don’t know content was AI-generated. Labeling helps make that context clear.” (AP)

4. Caitlin Clark’s regular season WNBA debut is this upcoming Tuesday against the Connecticut Sun at Mohegan Sun Arena. The cheapest ticket is $130 on SeatGeek.
