1. Congressman Jared Golden, the Democrat representing Maine’s second congressional district, says he will not endorse anyone for president. Golden said “The reason is simple: I am running to represent all the people of this district, regardless of who they vote for at the top of the ticket.” Golden has received pressure from his opponent, Republican Austin Theriault, to reveal an endorsement. 2. 5 people were arrested in the fourth drug bust at a Lewiston home in the past 9 months. Police said they seized 222 grams of methamphetamine, 15 grams of crack cocaine, 22 grams of fentanyl and six oxycodone pills at the College Street residence. (WMTW)
3. A neighbor is now threatening to sue the town of Kittery over noise from nearby pickleball courts. The neighbor, who works nights, claims it disrupts her sleep during the day. Some pickleball players told WGME the easier answer is for the nurse to work days. (WGME)
4. The Lewiston-Auburn Balloon festival (formerly known as The Great Falls Balloon festival) kicks off today. The parade will kick off at 10 a.m. Saturday from the intersection of Main and Elm streets in Auburn and will head through New Auburn on its way to Lewiston. (WMTW)
