2. The truck that left a hole in the Babb’s Covered Bridge weighed 36,000 pounds or 18 tons — six times the three-ton weight limit of the bridge. The Gorham bridge will be out of commission for months. Authorities issued a $2,500 weight violation summons to the company that owns the truck. (WMTW)
