Trap music was center stage on Thursday night with the VERZUZ battle between Gucci Mane and Jeezy. The whole thing took place at Atlanta’s Magic City strip club. Before the battle started, Stacey Abrams made an appearance to speak on the importance of the upcoming Georgia Senate run-off elections. Things got tense when Gucci played “Truth.” It’s the track about the fatal shooting of Jeezy’s friend. Jeezy made it a point to tell Gucci, “I brought you here to show you the world care about what the f**k we got going on, because we are the culture.” Everyone will score the battle differently, but in the end, they both came together for “So Icy.” Jeezy promoted his new album “The Recession 2,” and Gucci surprised us by telling us about his new project “Trap God Classics.”
