Iggy Azalea isn’t relying on anybody else when it comes to parenting her son! She recently appeared on on Jesse Tyler’s Dinner’s On Me podcast and she chatted with the Modern Family actor about her relationship with her son Onyx, whom she welcomed in 2020 and shares with ex-Playboi Carti.

In the episode, Iggy said, “I’m very much a single mother. I’m very much the only parent, no disrespect, but yes, I am not co-parenting really, and that’s just the reality of it.” Later in the podcast, she also shared that becoming a mother and having her son made her want to slow down and prioritize being present. She explained, “I no longer want to be traveling around everywhere. I want to take my son to school. I want him to have memories with me and give him that time. It’s really important to me.”

Iggy credits her mother for her parenting skills; as a child, she says her mother spent a lot of time with her so she has learned to do the same for her child. Her son is lucky to have her!
