Big shoutout to Portland’s own Allagash Brewing Company! They just landed a spot on the 2026 USA TODAY 10BEST Readers’ Choice Awards list for Best Brewery Tour.
If you’ve ever visited the flagship tasting room on Industrial Way, you know the tour is worth it. Guests can step inside the original brewing space where Allagash helped spark Maine’s craft beer movement back in 1995, getting a behind-the-scenes look at how it all started!
There’s also The Cellars, a special space dedicated to some of Allagash’s most experimental and complex beers. Tours there include tastings and brewery-exclusive pours that give visitors a deeper appreciation for the brewing process.
This latest honor comes after another big recognition in 2025, when TripAdvisor named the Allagash tasting room experience among the top 10% of attractions worldwide as part of its Traveler’s Choice Awards. It’s also currently ranked the #1 Thing to Do in Portland, Maine on the platform!
