Happy National Beer Day! I celebrated by talking with Brett and Patrick of Allagash Brewing Company. Their 10th Annual Saison Day is right around the corner – learn more in our interview below!
WHAT: Saisons will be in the spotlight with a special, cross-country celebration for the 10th straight year. Award-winning Allagash Brewing Company founded Saison Day in 2014 and is bringing together breweries all around the U.S. for its 2023 iteration, celebrating this unique and wide-ranging style of beer that originated in the French-speaking Wallonia region (also called Farmhouse-style Ales).
In the spirit of community and mutual admiration for this historic beer style, Allagash is sending its favorite Saison creations to brewery partners in multiple states, and will also offer a variety of Saisons at its home base tasting room. Beers available will include Upward Movement (Dry-hopped saison with big notes of pineapple); Once Upon an Orchard Peaches (a wild saison aged for four months on fresh peaches); and the return of Allagash’s classic Saison.
