To kick off If You Can Hear Her, You Can Be Her, I spoke with Jen Millard, CEO and co-founder of mainelove, about entrepreneurship, sustainability, and building something bold right here in Maine!
Jen co-founded mainelove with a mission that goes beyond selling water. The company partners with breweries to help them diversify revenue by offering premium water sourced from Sebago Lake in recyclable aluminum cans. It’s a simple concept with powerful impact – creating a new revenue stream for brewers while promoting sustainability and keeping production rooted in Maine.
Community is central to everything Jen does. mainelove sponsors local youth foundations, including the Special Olympics team the Portland Flames, and prioritizes economic impact in rural Maine communities. The company’s work is part of a larger vision to grow Maine’s water economy responsibly while keeping environmental stewardship at the forefront!
During our conversation, Jen shared advice for young women looking to step into leadership: be bold, take the opportunity, and don’t be afraid to learn from mistakes. Growth comes from action.
