Hot Radio Maine partnered with Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger for a special Thanksgiving giveaway, providing complete holiday dinners with no questions asked. Anyone who stopped by the Wells IGA left with a turkey and all the fixings.
More than 200 turkeys were distributed, including 100 donated by That Place in Ogunquit.
“This year, M.C. Perkins Cove came through with the sides — everything from stuffing and mashed potatoes to apple pie,” said Hot Radio Maine’s Ryan Deelon.
“Thanksgiving is all about family, and being able to help a family means a lot,” added Hot Radio Maine’s Brandon Aull.
Scott McDonell and WMTW Channel 8 were on hand to cover this year’s event.
Now in its 13th year, the event has helped Hot Radio Maine give away nearly 3,000 turkeys.
