Today for If You Can Hear Her, You Can Be Her, I spoke with K Bunten, a massage therapist based in Falmouth!
K shared how her path wasn’t always clear-cut. Starting out as an athlete with a background in basketball, she eventually discovered massage therapy and quickly connected with its therapeutic impact. What began as an interest grew into a career centered around helping others feel better physically and mentally.
She credits much of her inspiration to the strong women in her life, particularly her mother and grandmother, who helped shape her work ethic and perspective. Those influences continue to guide her as she runs her own client-based business.
K spoke openly about the challenges that come with that responsibility, emphasizing that success in her field goes beyond technique. For her, it is about listening, building trust, and creating a safe, supportive space for each client.
Among her proudest accomplishments are not only the growth of her business, but also the example she sets for her children. She takes pride in showing them what it looks like to pursue something meaningful and build it from the ground up!
Her message to young women is to trust their intuition and stay confident in their path, even when others may not understand it. She encourages them to protect their vision and not allow outside voices to diminish their goals.
