Maine’s sweetest season is here! The 2025 Girl Scout Cookie season is in full swing, bringing more than just delicious treats—it’s also a time for innovation, community, and entrepreneurship. This year, Girl Scouts of Maine introduces two exciting initiatives: Cookie Palooza and the Cookie Entrepreneur Family Pin program, both designed to inspire young entrepreneurs while strengthening local connections.
Introducing Cookie Palooza: A Sweet Collaboration
For the first time ever, Maine businesses are invited to join Cookie Palooza, a unique opportunity to create and showcase inventive dishes or pairings featuring Girl Scout Cookies. Whether it’s a Thin Mint-inspired dessert or a Tagalong-infused latte, local restaurants, bakeries, and cafes are encouraged to put their culinary creativity to the test.
“This initiative not only highlights the Girl Scout Cookie Program and the flavors of our iconic cookies but also fortifies our connections with the business community,” says Laura Genese, spokesperson for Girl Scouts of Maine. “It’s a fun and creative way for the public to invest in our girls’ entrepreneurial journey while supporting local businesses.”
Food lovers across Maine can experience these special creations and vote for their “Fan Favorite” dish, helping businesses gain recognition while contributing to a great cause. Interested businesses can learn more at www.girlscoutsofmaine.org/cookiepalooza.
Building the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs
While Cookie Palooza fuels culinary innovation, the Cookie Entrepreneur Family Pin program—supported by First National Bank and Martin’s Point Health Care—continues to empower Girl Scouts by teaching essential business skills. From goal setting to money management, this program gives Girl Scouts ages 6-18 hands-on experience in leadership and entrepreneurship.
“We’re proud to support a program that fosters future entrepreneurs in Maine,” says Tony McKim, President and CEO of First National Bank. “We’re eager to watch these young leaders grow into influential figures in our communities.”
Through this initiative, Girl Scouts develop confidence and real-world skills that will benefit them long after cookie season ends. The best part? The program is completely free for Girl Scouts, ensuring all members have the chance to learn and grow.
How to Get Your Girl Scout Cookies
Want to get involved? You can support Maine’s Girl Scouts by purchasing cookies directly from a local Scout, using the Cookie Finder to locate a troop near you, or stopping by a cookie booth starting in April. Every purchase fuels leadership opportunities for girls across Maine, helping them develop skills that last a lifetime.
Whether you’re indulging in your favorite cookies, voting for a Cookie Palooza Fan Favorite, or supporting a young entrepreneur in your community, there are plenty of ways to make this cookie season one to remember!
