Portland’s Eastern Prom will be the place to be on Tuesday, August 5th as the 15th Annual Summer Slam takes over the city for an afternoon of hoops, community, and celebration. This FREE community event brings together some of Maine’s best basketball talent and local fans for an unforgettable summer experience.

Leading up to the big day, Nik Caner-Medley—former professional basketball player and Deering High School legend—stopped by the Maine Made Studios to talk about Summer Slam’s impact and how players like Cooper Flagg and Mackenzie Holmes have changed the landscape of high school basketball in Maine. Their success has inspired a new generation of athletes, and you’ll see some of that talent on full display at Summer Slam.
