1. Sen. Susan Collins said she’s working on a proposal to censure Donald Trump, rather than proceed with the trial to convict Trump in the Senate. Censure of a president has only happened once in U.S. history—President Andrew Jackson in 1834. Censure is a “formal statement of disapproval,” according to the U.S. Senate. (NEWS CENTER)

2. The U.S. tops 25.5 million covid-19 cases with over 429,000 deaths. The Maine CDC reported 4 new deaths and 462 new cases on Wednesday bringing Maine’s death toll to 562. Nearly 29,000 Mainers have received both doses of their vaccination. (WMTW)

3. New data from the CDC shows that the number of Lyme cases annually is severely under reported. Previously, the CDC estimated about 35,000 Americans get the disease every year. Now, they estimate it’s around 476,00 Americans. Maine has the highest incidence rate of Lyme disease in the nation. (PRESS HERALD)

4. The Colonial Athletic Association held its annual media day virtually. The CAA which includes UMAINE adopted a unique six-game spring season with games beginning March 6 and ending April 17. Playoffs would follow and end in May. UMaine is now participating in workouts, team meetings, and walkthroughs. (NEWS CENTER)

5. Mae’s Cafe and Bakery in Bath becomes a recipient of the Barstool Fund. Dave Portnoy, facetimed owner Katie Winglass on Monday to tell her the news. The Barstool Fund is helping small businesses across the country get the help they need to stay afloat during the pandemic. Recipients will receive funds for as long as they need in order to stay in business. To date, The Barstool Fund has helped raise more than $32 million for business owners. (NEWS CENTER)
