1. U.S. swimmers Ryan Lochte and Jimmy Feigen were indicted last night by Brazilian authorities for allegedly lying that they and two other teammates were robbed at gunpoint by robbers impersonating police during the Olympics. The latest development in the case comes after the other two swimmers involved, Jack Conger and Gunnar Bentz, were removed from their plane by Brazilian authorities on Wednesday and questioned about the controversial robbery claim. According to the AP, they admitted that Lochte lied about key details after an embarrassing incident that occurred around 6 a.m. at a Rio gas station, where Lochte and his drunken cohorts broke a bathroom door before agreeing to pay for the damage after a security guard brandished his gun. Falsely reporting a crime is punishable by a fine or up to six months in prison. (Buzzfeed)
