1. The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention said Thursday that the number of coronavirus cases in the state has increased to 376. One death was announced late Thursday. It was the 8th coronavirus-related death and the first veteran to die from coronavirus in Maine. (WMTW)

2. Unemployment claims soared to record highs in Maine and across the country last week. Claims in Maine reached nearly 24,000 for the week ending Saturday. In the past two weeks more Mainers have filed for unemployment benefits than all of 2019. Nationwide almost 10 million people have filed for unemployment benefits. (PRESS HERALD)

3. An emergency travel advisory is underway in Kennebunkport. The town recommends that owners of temporary units like hotels, bed and breakfasts and campgrounds stop allowing rentals. All short-term rental spots in town must remain vacant. It is recommended that seasonal homeowners should stay at their primary residence and not travel to Kennebunkport. (WGME)

4. The Jetport has seen a 93 percent decrease in the number of travelers because of the coronavirus, compared to this time last year. According to the assistant airport director the Jetport’s focus right now is making sure the facility is available so flights can operate to deliver the products and essential staff that need to travel. 5. Bowdoin College is using its 3D printer to produce face shields to deliver to local hospitals. The 3D printer is located at the home of a staffer and is working around the clock. The University of New Hampshire is also using a 3D printer to manufacture face shields. (WMTW)
