1. The United States coronavirus cases top 1,486,000. America’s death toll stands at nearly 90,000. Many parts of the country have expressed hope about their number of cases seemingly slowing. (CNN)

2. No new coronavirus-related death and 39 new coronavirus cases were reported in Maine on Sunday, the death toll stands at 70 and the statewide case number is 1,687 of which 589 are active. Over 1,000 Mainers have recovered from the virus. (WGME)

3. Restaurants in most Maine counties can reopen to dine-in customers today. York, Cumberland, Androscoggin, and Penobscot are not part of this plan. The businesses must follow the CDC guidelines, including that six-foot social distancing rule. Employees are also required to wear face coverings and customers should too, when possible. There cannot be 10 or more employees working at the same time. They are also discouraged from sharing things on the job like equipment or workstations. Some campsites across Maine will also be reopening today. (WGME)

4. Hundreds, including Paul LePage, gathered between the Blaine House and the State House in Augusta on Saturday to protest the shutdown. LePage addressed the crowd from inside his car parked about 30 feet away. His remarks were broadcast via cellphone. (PRESS HERALD)

5. IKEA is doing its part to brighten up lockdown. First, it released the recipe for its world-famous Swedish meatballs and now it has published instructions on how to make six different kinds of forts with their furniture. You can also replace their furniture with whatever you have on hand. (INSIDER)
