  1. More than 150 people (including 22 Americans) were killed when a large crowd surged into a narrow street during Halloween festivities in Seoul, South Korea over the weekend. Emma Fortier, a junior at Bowdoin, who is studying abroad was one of the 100,000 people in the crowd. She said “I climbed up a side wall and jumped down the side of a giant structure behind a building.” (WGME)

 

  1. Maranacook Community High School and middle schools will be closed Monday due to a threat. District leaders were informed late Saturday of an anonymous text threatening violence at the high school.  All school activities including a Haunted Halloween Walk planned by the PTO have been canceled.
