1. Maine hospitals had 205 patients with COVID-19 on Sunday. Numbers have been slowly falling since peaking at 235 on Sept. 25th. The CDC came out with guidance surrounding holiday gatherings which says the safest way to celebrate is virtually. (PRESS HERALD)
2. Thousands stood up for abortion justice across the nation during rallies Saturday. Hundreds gathered at Congress Square Park to share their story and demand justice. The rally follows the passing of Texas’ law banning abortions after six weeks. (WGME)
3. Some Brunswick High School football players are permanently off the team in connection with allegations of hazing. The superintendent says no additional steps have been taken at this time. Brunswick PD’s investigation is still ongoing. (WGME)
4. The Maine Marathon returned Sunday after a one year hiatus. 24-year old Jacob Terry of Scarborough won the race, running the 26.2 miles in 2:25:25. Terry earned $1,000 for his victory. (WMTW)
5. Tom Brady won in his return to New England. Mac Jones was impressive for the Patriots throwing for 275 yards and two touchdowns. New England missed a go-ahead field goal (DOINK!) with about a minute to go. Brady greeted many former teammates and coaches after the game, including a brief interaction with Bill Belichick.
