1. U.S. officials said they still know little about the three objects downed Friday off the coast of Alaska, Saturday over Canada and Sunday over Lake Huron. The White House press secretary did have one definitive statement “I know there’s been questions and concerns about this, but there is no – again, no – indication of aliens or extraterrestrial activity.” (PH)

2. Governor Janet Mills is preparing to deliver her annual State of the State address at the State House tonight.  Lawmakers are expecting the governor to highlight major issues, including health care, Maine’s ongoing housing crisis and helping Maine’s economy and our schools continue to recover from the pandemic. Senator Angus King (I-Maine) is teaming up with Senator Marco Rubio (R-Florida) to introduce legislation that would ban TikTok from operating in the United States.  The bill aims to protect Americans and their data from the governments of China, Russia or any other countries the United States’ considers dangerous. 4. Starting with the Class of 2023, graduating seniors of South Portland High School will be given $1,000 cash. The money comes from a multi-million-dollar anonymous donation in the honor of the class of 1948. (WGME)

5. The Valentine’s Day Bandit is back, and hearts are popping up all over downtown Portland.  For over 40 years, hearts have gone up across the city of Portland.  (WGME)
