2. An Auburn police officer shot and killed a man after receiving a report of a woman being held against her will. There was an armed confrontation and the suspect was shot. The girlfriend of the man that was fatally shot said “I was never a hostage.” (WMTW)
3. Two Brunswick High School football coaches are on leave in connection with an investigation into alleged hazing and harassment during a team retreat at Thomas Point Beach. Brunswick PD are conducting interviews with students and staff. (WMTW)
4. The first of as many as 100 Afghan evacuees are expected to arrive in Maine as early as Friday. Catholic Charities Maine says they could really use gift cards and transportation passes for Afghan families when they arrive. (WGME)
