- Southwest has canceled roughly 20 flights at the Portland International Jetport since Friday, affecting about 3,000 passengers. Most major U.S. airlines were affected by Friday’s storm, but had largely recovered by Monday. Except for Southwest. Nationwide Southwest canceled another 2,505 flights today and there’s already 2,348 canceled flights for tomorrow. Southwest doesn’t have any extra seats available on existing flights for rebooking passengers until Jan. 1. (PH)
- The Maine Emergency Management Agency has begun to conduct initial damage assessments across the state after Friday’s storm. If federal inspectors agree with state assessments, Mills will ask President Biden to make a disaster declaration, which can unlock a range of federal relief. (PH)
