The 2024 Grammy nominations have officially been released as many artists, first time nominees and past winners alike, clamor at the opportunity to add a gold gramophone to their trophy case.
2023 continues to be the year of SZA as she leads all nominees with 9 nominations herself, which include Album, Song, and Record of the Year. I expect her to take home at least 1/3 of those nominations. I also predict Best New Artist will, if we could see the official tally of votes, come down to a toss up between Ice Spice and Jelly Roll. Will Drake & 21 Savage’s Her Loss take home Best Rap Album? So many questions that will be answered when the Grammy’s take place at Crpto.com Arena (I still call it Staples Center) in Los Angeles on February 4th, 2024.
