The WNBA draft was held last night! To no one’s surprise, Iowa’s Caitlin Clark was drafted number one by the Indiana Fever. With the second pick, The Los Angeles Sparks picked up Stanford standout Cameron Brink. Two of the biggest names in women’s college basketball were drafted by the Chicago Sky. South Carolina’s Kamilla Cardoso was taken third and LSU’s Angel Reese went seventh. Here’s how the first round played out:

- Minnesota Lynx (via Atlanta Dream): Alissa Pili, F, Utah
- Dallas Wings: Carla Leite, G, France
- Connecticut Sun: Leïla Lacan, G, France
- New York Liberty: Marquesha Davis, G, Ole Miss
- Atlanta Dream (via Las Vegas Aces): Nyadiew Puoch, F, Australia.
Big shout out to Gorham’s own Mackenzie Holmes! She was drafted 26th overall by the Seattle Storm. We can’t wait to see her on the court!
