I’ve heard the Cardi B songs…what does she know about making clean music?? No but in all seriousness, let’s just say that Cardi doesn’t often hold her tongue when she steps to the microphone. In a recent episode of the popular segment, Hot Ones, on the First We Feast show on YouTube, Cardi B says she just went through the process of making a radio edit for her new song, “Bongos” featuring Megan Thee Stallion, and that she absolutely despises it.
“It’s annoying! So annoying!” Cardi says. “Because I just did it like practically two weeks ago, and I was so over it because you know my new song, I be like, ‘N*gga eat this ass like a plum.’ So you know, I’m doing the clean version and I’m like alright, ‘Baby eat it up like a plum!’” And they’re like, ‘No, you still can’t play that for pop radio.’ And I’m like, ‘Baby eat these peaches and plums.’ That’s sounds so corny. That sounded like a Kidz Bop, but I have no choice so, ‘Baby eat these peaches and plums!’”
