Fresh off the success of her hit “What It Is” featuring Kodak Black, the rising star that is Doechii decided to put her own spin on “America Has A Problem” by Beyoncé.
Of course, the fact that it’s a Beyoncé song is enough of a reason to want to lay a verse on it, but you can’t help but wonder if there was any extra motivation involved. Could the fact that Kendrick Lamar, the man that made the label she’s currently signed to in TDE, is on the official remix and perhaps she wanted to show him how it’s done? Maybe that’s all just speculation…but one fan does indeed believe she “washed” Kendrick’s verse.
Others remarked that she should be on the official remix herself. At the end of the day a little friendly competition in hip-hop is always welcomed, and usually makes for some great moments.
