The Academy Awards are coming soon, on February 26th! La La Land, directed by Damien Chazelle was showered with nominations for 14 different awards.
The Oscars this year has 157 nominations for the 34 awards that will be given out! We can’t wait to see how Jimmy Kimmel does as the host for the 89th Oscars.
After the whole #OscarsSoWhite controversy last year, the Academy have given the voting process a complete overhaul, and clearly its worked! The representation and new diversity in the lead categories are very encouraging to the future of the Oscars of the whole.

Denzel Washington – for Best Actor
Mel Gibson – For Best Actress
And Rouge One: A StarWars Story – for Best Visual Effects
