Many milestones, accomplishments, plaques, and major moments for NYC’s own Fat Joe, and now he can add “Key To The City Holder” to his list.
While celebrating his 54th birthday in style as he performed a show in his hometown of the Bronx, NYC mayor Eric Adams decided to stop by and hand deliver the prestigious gift. Allegedly, there was some backlash from some unnamed sources in regards to Fat Joe being honored in this way, however he remains unbothered by the outside noise, saying, “I don’t know another guy who keeps it realer with the streets of New York than Fat Joe, who feeds more people, opens more businesses. I don’t know what to tell you guys.”
Eric Adams beamed about Fat Joe as he says that his music has “unlocked our hearts for many years…Fat Joe is a real legend, and we’re just really thrilled about giving him the key to the city.” Unlocked our hearts? Even the Mayor has some bars for you.
