The Fyre Festival brand has sold for $245,300 after founder Billy McFarland held an auction on eBay. The disastrous 2017 festival’s IP, trademarks and social media assets was sold after 175 bids from 42 bidders. McFarland, who owes $26 million in restitution for Fyre Fest, could be heard saying “Damn, this sucks. It’s so low”, when bidding started stalling at $240,000.
