In a world where some of the biggest stars in music have astronomical ticket prices, compounded by the fact that the resellers mark them up 10x, Jelly Roll is looking to flip the switch.
In a recent Facebook post, Jelly Roll acknowledged the fact that some of his fans had been buying tickets for his upcoming tour from 3rd parties, and getting their pockets emptied in the process. “I want y’all to know I’m not charging $3,500 per ticket for floor seats. It’s the scalpers and 3rd party resellers. The only way to truly stop this is to not buy the tickets from those websites. I’ll never steer you wrong.”
As of now, tickets for his upcoming The Beautifully Broken Tour start at just $39.50, a very modest price for an artist of his current celebrity status. The prices of tickets for entertainment has been a hot topic the last few years, especially the effort to combat scalpers and 3rd party re-sellers. Hopefully more artists do their best to spread this message in warning their fans, and offer reasonable prices upfront that true fans can afford. Everybody deserves to experience a great show from their favorite artists!
