Kim Kardashian is one step closer to becoming a lawyer – she just completed her law program after 6 years! On Wednesday (May 21), her sister Khloé posted a series of Instagram stories of Kim’s private backyard graduation ceremony where two of her mentors spoke about her achievements.
“It’s an absolute honor to stand here today, not just as mentors, but as witnesses to one of the most inspiring legal journeys we’ve ever seen,” Attorney Jessica Jackson said. “Six years ago, Kim Kardashian walked into this program with nothing but a fierce desire to fight for justice. No law school lectures, no ivory tower shortcuts, just determination and a mountain of case log books to read.”
Jessica spoke on how Kim allocated 18 hours a week, 48 weeks a year, for six straight years to study. “That’s time she carved out while raising four children, running businesses, filming television shows and showing up in courtrooms to advocate for others,” she noted.
While Kim didn’t go the traditional law school route, in California, a person can become a lawyer by completing a four-year Law Office Study Program (LOSP). She will still have to pass the Bar Exam to practice law in the state.
Congrats Kim!
