Lil Uzi Vert has released a brand-new single titled “NFL,” accompanied by a music video. Despite their prior connection with the Philadelphia Eagles’ NFL season through the unofficial soundtrack of “Just Wanna Rock,” this new track takes on a different meaning, standing as an acronym for “never fall in luv,” as indicated on the title screen of its Be El Be-directed visual.
The music video is a blend of carnival imagery and Lil Uzi Vert’s unique style, featuring scenes of Lil Uzi dining alongside a lizard with an elongated tongue, counting stacks of cash on a plate, and spitting verses atop a car against a backdrop of drifting comets. The artistic fusion creates a visually stimulating experience that complements the song’s vibe.
This release follows Lil Uzi Vert’s expansive 26-track album, “Pink Tape,” which hit the airwaves in July. Serving as the successor to 2020’s “Eternal Atake” and its expansion, “LUV vs. the World 2,” “NFL” is rumored to be part of their upcoming LP, “Luv Is Rage 3.” However, the specific release date for this anticipated project remains unknown.
Lil Uzi Vert enthusiasts have more reasons to celebrate as the artist gears up for a fall tour in support of “Pink Tape.” Listen to Hot Radio Maine during the 8am and 5pm hours this week (10/2/23 – 10/6/23) for your chance to win tickets to their November 24th tour stop at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway.
