The 46th and final Old Port Festival will take place June 9th. Portland Downtown, the event organizer, announced this year will be the final year on Tuesday. While it has drawn complaints for drunken shenanigans, the Old Port fest attracted more than 30,000 people some years to the downtown area. Old Port Fest was created to attract attention to the area and it seems as though it’s mission has been accomplished. (PressHerald)
