The unofficial kick off to Portland’s 2015 summer season will be bigger than ever this year! The 42nd Annual Old Port Festival begins Thursday June 11 and of course ends with a bang on that Sunday, June 14. Along with the expanded dates, the Fest will bring national acts to the State Pier including The Wailers, Rusted Root, Rachel Yamagata, and more. The main focus of this year’s festival, which generally brings around 50,000 people to Portland’s Downtown District, is to support the local independent businesses. Be sure to mark your calendars so you can enjoy the 4 day event with free music & entertainment, a Ferris wheel, tons of local specials, and over 60 vendors spread across the historic Old Port. Summertime is almost here!
